Task Description:
Job purpose:
• To work as part of a team to develop client-side applications and templates for product and client deployments across a number of target delivery platforms
• To provide expertise within the company with regards front end development technologies and platforms

Responsibilities include:

• Developing client-side applications for deployment in interactive TV, IPTV, Internet and Mobile environments
• Developing i-ZoneTV Templates utilising the in-house integrated development environment
• Working against a design and functional specification to delivery the client's requirements against a deadline
• Working closely with the design team to ensure the client-side designs and implementations are realistic and meet expectations
• Ensuring platform-specific knowledge is disseminated across the organisation
• Production of the required platform graphical assets from the designs
• Flash prototyping of design concepts

Necessary skills and experiences:

Must have 3 years experience and advanced skills in the following technologies:
• HTML 4.0
• xHTML 1.0
• DOM 2.0
• CSS 2.0
• XML
• WML
• JavaScript
• RSS

Must have specific experience of developing applications for at least one particular IPTV platforms such as OMP, MiView, MSTV.

Must be familiar with
• Open source integrated development environments eg Eclipse
• STB UI development
• Source versioning and control
• Experience of:
• Flash / Actionscript
• Experience desirable in
• Groovy scripting
• Freemarker templating
• Server side transactions e.g. .asp, .net, .jsp, CGI
• Ajax
